---- — DERRY — Three women were arrested Feb. 12 after police received reports of shoplifters at Wal-Mart on Ashleigh Drive.
Police were called to the store at 12:51 p.m. for a report of three people allegedly shoplifting in the store, Capt. Vern Thomas said.
Store security workers told police they saw the three women taking products from the shelves, then stashing them in their pocketbooks.
Responding officers found the women and determined the women took items, put them into their pocketbooks, took them out to their car, then returned to the store to steal more items, Thomas said.
The three face misdemeanor charges as a result of the investigation.
Maria Decosta, 47, of Nashua faces a single misdemeanor theft charge.
Kourtney Kasko, 24, listed as homeless, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of willful concealment.
Amy Lefebvre, 32. of Nashua was charged with one count of misdemeanor theft.
Police seized a 1994 Toyota they said is connected to the incident.
Detectives searched the car and seized approximately 40 items taken from Wal-Mart and at least one other store in the area.
The items police seized included sunglasses, cosmetics, household items and personal care products.
The investigation continues, Thomas said.
Decosta and Kasko originally were held on $2,500 cash bail. Friday afternoon, jail records showed Decosta and Kasko had been released on bond.
Lefebvre was released on $2,000 personal recognizance.
The women are scheduled to appear in 10th Circuit Court in Derry March 6.
