Free meals are scheduled
The Community Meals Network continues its free meals schedule with a spaghetti dinner Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. at West Running Brook Middle School.
A free lunch will be offered Feb. 23 from noon to 1 p.m. at Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Vacation Bible school offered
Salvation Army, 18 Folsom Road, offers a school vacation week “Welcome to the Jungle” Bible school program Feb. 25-27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The program is for children ages 4 to 12. Lunch will be provided.

Affordable Care Act session set
Derry Public Library offers another Affordable Care Act information session March 1 at 1:30 p.m. Certified marketplace navigators will conduct a presentation and question/answer session for those needing help with health insurance and signing up through the marketplace.
Topics covered include requirements, exemptions, fees and an overview of the types of health insurance plans offered in New Hampshire. Registration is required for this enrollment session.
Anyone attending should bring a Social Security number, pay stubs and/or W2 forms as well as a 2012 1040 document. The program is part of the library’s ongoing series on the Affordable Health Care Act. Call 432-6140.
Historic N.H. songs featured
The Amoskeag Mills chapter of the historical group Questors sponsors a free program by the New Hampshire Humanities Council March 5 at Derry Public Library.
The program, “Banjos, Bones and Ballads” is led by Jeff Warner who will use traditional and historic instruments to present the songs of the state’s working people. There will be tavern songs, ballads, sailor songs and humorous numbers. Call 434-4073 for information.
Garden club to meet
The Derry Garden Club kicks off its new year of meeting on March 7 at 10 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry, 40 Hampstead Road.

Kids Coop presents ‘Mermaid’
Kids Coop Theatre presents the Disney musical “The Little Mermaid Jr.” March 7-9 at the Derry Opera House, 29 West Broadway.
The show features a youth cast of 38 students playing the parts of Ariel the mermaid, Prince Eric and the evil villain Ursula.
Show times are March 7 at 7 p.m., March 8 at 1 and 7 p.m., and march 9 at 1 p.m.. Tickets are $12 and are available at kids-coop-theatre.org.
