Connors-Krikorian called the selection process “very fair and eye-opening.”

Wood is a member of Pinkerton’s varsity soccer team and also works as part of the school’s new mentoring program, helping freshmen get acquainted with the school during their first year.
He said he wanted to help give back to Pinkerton and also be part of the Derry school district process.
“I felt like I have a lot to offer the community and Pinkerton Academy,” Wood said.
He said Pinkerton has been very supportive of his family and all the families from the school’s sending towns of Derry, Chester and Hampstead.
Superintendent Laura Nelson welcomed Wood and said his words were very heartwarming.
“You said some wonderful words, very touching,” she said. “I find that very admirable, very articulately stated.”
