Fri, May 16 2008 HAMPSTEAD — Belle Aimee, a Medical Spa and Salon, offers a variety of services using 'elos' technology, which is a type of laser. Owner Connie Cammilleri said among the services the new spa and salon offers are skin tightening, hair removal, leg and facial vein treatments, skin rejuvenation and circumferential reduction and cellulite treatments. "But the service that has really taken off is the acne treatment," she said. "With our cutting edge technology, we are able to provide a safe and effective treatment that produces superior results." For the acne treatment, the technology combines Bi-Polar Radio Frequency and Blue Light energies to penetrate the skin, targeting and getting rid of the active bacteria that causes acne. It is painless and is appropriate for all skin types, she said. "We can do face lifts without surgery because our technology is non-invasive," she said. "We can do hair removals from any part of a woman's body. It works well for men as well. Men can have the hair removed from their backs. The procedure is totally painless." The spa's liposuction treatment is also non-invasive and painless. It melts the fat under the skin. For those individuals who have difficulty getting rid of the so-called baby fat that even exercise doesn't eliminate this system work, she said. "We've been amazed at the response to the acne treatment. Combining the treatment with an antibiotic has worked on even very severe cases," Cammilleri said. "We recommend patients go through the whole process and we walk them through it before they decide." Cammilleri said the treatments are done by Meghan Welcome, who is certified on the 'elos' technology and the Syneron procedures. While not part of Greater Hampstead Family Medicine, Belle Airmee is owned and operated by the Cammilleri family. The Medical Spa and Salon also offers microdermabrasion facials and massage therapy. There are separate rooms for the various procedures but Cammilleri said, it is convenient to take advantage of more than one of the services at a visit. "We recommend people interested in any of these services call and schedule a personal consultation," she said. Belle Aimee is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The business is located in Unit C of the Greater Hampstead Family Medicine building at 207 Stage Road. For more information, call 329-6223.
