State Rep. injured in two-vehicle crash
DERRY — An accident with a logging truck sent a Derry state representative to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
A white Ford Explorer driven by Rep. Gina Hutchinson, D-Derry, of 75 Chester Road in Derry collided with a logging truck driven by William Perron of 32 Brown Road in Deerfield, police said.
Hutchinson was attempting to turn onto Chester Road (Route 102) when the accident occurred at 3:35 p.m., police said.
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Medical Center for treatment, police said. Perron was not hurt.
Hutchinson did not return a call seeking comment about the accident.
The crash shut down Chester Road for 2 1/2 hours due to a diesel fuel spill and the cleanup it triggered, police said.

Town, flea market settle their suit
DERRY — The town has reached a verbal agreement with the Grandview Flea Market to resolve a lawsuit between the parties.
The town filed the action in November, claiming inspectors found the flea market property was being used for unauthorized purposes and property owner Martin Taylor had failed to correct the problems.
During an inspection of the property in April, code enforcement officer Robert Mackey found parking areas and additional tents set up in an unapproved area.
The flea market also was selling on-site lockers that had not been approved, and had an overburdened septic system, according to documents filed in Rockingham County Superior Court.
The agreement gives the flea market 20 days to come into compliance or it faces a fine of more than $19,000, according to town attorney Steve Clark.

DERRY — Nine people face charges stemming from burglaries in Derry that have been committed in the last nine months. Colgate is charged with seven counts of burglary, Ricker faces three counts of burglary, Dalton is charged with three counts of accomplice to burglary, and Lynch is charged with theft by receiving stolen property and burglary.
Charges also have been brought forward in several other burglaries from last year.
