LONDONDERRY — A Derry man was arrested last weekend after he allegedly flashed a gun at a party in Londonderry.
Brett Rousseau, 23, of 5-A Park Avenue, has been charged with criminal threatening and carrying a loaded gun without a license. He has been released on $5,000 cash and is scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on Oct. 14.
Police received a call that Rousseau brandished the weapon during a fight a Gilcreast Road home around 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to police.
About 75 people were at the home during the party and there was blood and glass on the floor of the home, according to police.
Once the homeowner saw the gun, she contacted police and pointed Rousseau out to the officers who arrived on scene, according to police.
Police found a loaded .40 caliber handgun when searching Rousseau. His license for the weapon had expired, according to police.
