King receives promotion
DERRY — A Derry firefighter was promoted to the rank of lieutenant in a ceremony at the Aug. 19 Town Council meeting. Ed King, who has been with the department since 2002, was sworn in by Town Administrator Gary Stenhouse and received a pin from his family certifying him with his new rank.
"He has shown he cares about our department, the town and the people he works with," said fire Chief George Klauber.
King previously worked as a firefighter and paramedic. He serves in the department's health and wellness program.
