Londonderry man pleads gulity to wreckless conduct.

LONDONDERRY — A Londonderry man will spend two weeks in jail after he pleaded guilty to reckless conduct and driving while intoxicated at Belknap County Superior Court in Laconia on April 28.

The charge stemmed from an incident during which Henry Pratte, 48, 516 Old Mammoth Road, crashed his motorcycle on Route 106 in Gilmanton during the celebration of the 84th annual Motorcycle Week in 2007.

Pratte, who was indicted on the Class B felony charge in December, was sentenced to the House of Corrections for 12 months, with all but 15 days suspended with good behavior and compliance with all terms of the court's orders.

Pratte, who police say was operating his motorcycle at a high rate of speed at the time of the accident, was placed on probation for two years and his driver's license was revoked for six months.

He was also ordered to participate in alcohol treatment or educational programs, and to complete counseling for his drunken-driving conviction. In addition, he must complete an alcohol abuse assessment within 60 days with any recommendations to become rules of his probation. Pratte was also fined $500.
