LONDONDERRY — Two Lawrence, Mass., men were arrested on Aug. 23 for stealing metal shelves from the front lawn of a Hillside Avenue home.
Hector Bido, 53, 435 Broadway, and David Bido, 49, 370 Lowell St., told police they had permission to take a lawn mower and metal shelving from the front yard of a 103 Hillside Ave. home, but the homeowner, Robert Ahern, said he wants to press charges, according to a police affidavit.
In front of the Burger King on Route 102, police found a vehicle matching the description of the one used in the theft. Officer Matthew Morin questioned the occupants, two men, because he saw a lawn mower and other metal items in the bed of the truck.
Ahern told police the shelves were in his yard, but they were not trash. He told police the two men were never given permission to take anything from his yard, according to the affidavit.
A neighbor said she saw a man wearing a baseball hat, a man identified as Hector Bido, take the items from the yard. The other man sat waiting in a truck for Bido to return with the shelves, according to the affidavit.
Both men were charged with receiving stolen property and are being held on $10,000 cash bail. Hector Bido was also charged with criminal trespassing.
