DERRY — Police arrested a 22-year-old man early for pointing a handgun at a crowd of people during a fight at a Derry pool hall early on Sunday morning, May 11.

Jason Foote, of 11R Rocco Drive in Derry, got into an argument in front of Burgundy's Billiard Room and flashed a silver and black handgun at some bystanders, according to police Capt. Vernon Thomas.

Before police arrived, Foote took off in a vehicle but police caught up with him on Crystal Avenue. They found the gun after searching him, according to Thomas.

Foote has been charged with felony reckless conduct and carrying a concealed weapon without a license.

He was held on $2,500 cash bail pending arraignment in Derry District Court.
