DERRY — Police broke up a drug deal on Linlew Drive on April 29 that sent two men to jail.

Police received a call at 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday about a possible drug deal in the works in the parking lot outside the Derry Country Club Estates, according to Capt. Vernon Thomas.

Once a police officer arrived, he found two men in a vehicle in the parking lot and patted them down for his safety.

Officers found a bag of marijuana on Scott Sprague, 18, of 27 Linlew Drive #2, and charged him with possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute, according to Thomas.

They also found drug paraphernalia with marijuana residue on Glen Vincent, 38, of 24 Hawthorne Drive in Atkinson. He has been charged with possession of a controlled drug, according to Thomas.

Both men were held on $5,000 cash bail pending their arraignment in Derry District Court.
