BRENTWOOD — A former Derry nurse has agreed to plead guilty to stealing drugs from the nursing home where she worked.
In exchange for her guilty plea, prosecutors will drop a felony drug possession charge against Madeline Seatten, 38, who worked at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center. Seatten will plead guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge and spend 30 days in county jail.
Prosecutors are asking that Seatten be sentenced to six months in jail, with all but a month of it suspended.
Prosecutors said around Nov. 25, Seatten took Percocet or generic equivalents of the pill, which were prescribed to residents at the home. The pills were valued at $500. Seatten is scheduled to plead guilty and be sentenced on May 30 in Rockingham County Superior Court.
Had Seatten been found guilty at trial on the felony charge, she could have faced three and a half to seven years in state prison.
