Free Pilates and boot camp classes
Start the year off right! Kim Cremin Personal Training & Pilates studio will be having an open house during the first week in January. During this week all classes will be free. Classes include Pilates mat, Pilates Reformer, and Boot Camp.
Class size is kept small in order to give high quality instruction, therefore you will need to sign up for the classes. Sign up is free and there is no commitment to join, but space is limited.

Filing period opens Jan. 20
The Chester School District announces the opening of the filing period for open school district jobs.
Filing period opens Jan. 20 and closes Jan. 29 at 5 p.m.
Open positions this year include two school board spots for three-year terms; district clerk for one year; and district treasurer for a one-year term.
The school district changed over to the Senate Bill format of doing its business. Filing fee is $1. Ballot voting is set for March 9 at the town office complex.
Congregational Church hosts movie night
The Chester Congregational Baptist Church announce a "Family Movie Night" on Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. in the church vestry. Snow date is Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. The movie of the night is Pixar/Disney's "Up."
This is a fun event for people of all ages. Hot grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup will be served along with drinks and dessert. Contact Marge Pagliuca for information at 818-8536.
School budget hearing set
The Chester School District and town's budget committee host a public hearing on the school budget for next year. The hearing is set for Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at the town's main meeting room at the town office complex on Chester Street. The public is encouraged to attend.
