The "Christmas in the Village" fair will be held Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chester Congregational Baptist Church. The event will be held in the church vestry. The fair offers handmade crafts, unique holiday decor, gifts and a bake shop. There will also be live music, Tiffany's at Chester, and wassail.

A Loaf and Ladle lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Hall. For information, call the church office at 887-4799. The church is located in the center of Chester.

Chester Senior Citizens help ring in the holidays on Dec. 5 with a cookie walk and book sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Hall. All are invited to stop by and enjoy some tasty cookies.

Folsom's Sugar House, 130 Candia Road, opens its doors for the holidays and hosts an open house on Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sugar house will offer its homemade maple products along with fragrant balsam wreaths and other specialty products.
