Chester College hires Padilla

CHESTER — Anthony Padilla has joined Chester College of New England as the college's vice president of admissions and marketing. He will oversee Chester's admissions, marketing, and financial aid operations and will serve as a member of the President's Cabinet.

Padilla most recently was the Director of Admission at Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City. He also served as the dean of enrollment and director of admission at Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, California. He was a freelance illustrator in New York City from 1980-1990, and his work was featured in Redbook and Esquire magazines while he worked for clients such as American Express, Hilton International, AT&T, Nike, Bloomingdales and Dr. Pepper.

Padilla received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Center of Design in Pasadena, California, and he studied fine arts at the University of California. He has served as the president of the National Portfolio Day Association for five years and co-chair of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design.
