4-H Clubs showcase at the Stratham Fair

Eighteen 4-H Clubs involved in the 4-H youth Development programs of UNH Cooperative Extension exhibited projects made by youth at the 2008 Stratham Fair. Clubs can participate in either the project overall display or educational displays.

Earning blue rosettes for project displays were the Hampstead Cozy Crafters with Lorraine Nelson, organizational leader; Epping Imagineers with Michele King, organizational leader; Stratham Fantastic 4-H'ers with Patti Elwell, organizational leader; Deerfield Bittersweet Special with Lynn Garland, organizational leader; Chester Buckin Buddies with Kathy Sandholm, organizational leader; Byfield Backyard Buddies with Cheryl McCarthy, organizational leader; Rockingham County Next Step Teen Club with Judy Cogger of Brentwood, Lucy Rhodes of Auburn and Joann Brandt of East Kingston, organizational leaders; Stratham Great Bay Youth Farmers with Judy and Nate Merrill, organizational leaders; Exeter Seacoast Kids 4-H Club with Bonnie Rose, organizational leader; Rockingham County Woolgatherers with Sue Robertson and Amy Marquis, organizational leaders; North Hampton Seacoast Creative Critters with Sherri and Phil Thayer, organizational leaders; East Kingston Kreative Crafters, with Joann Brandt, organizational leader; Rockingham County Cottontails with Jean Ann St. Pierre, organizational leader; and Fremont Peppermint Ponies with Jan Brubacher, organizational leader.

Earning red rosettes for their displays were Greenland Dairy Club with Robin Weeks, organizational leader; Raymond Jaquars with Jill Haber, organizational leader; Epping Kids 4-Ever with Mary Ellen Colford, organizational leader, and Derry Ladybugs with Bonnie and James Turner, organizational leaders.

Educational displays created by 4-H clubs were on the topic Rabbit Hurdling (rabbits jumping fences), created by the Rockingham County Cottontails, who received a blue rosette.
