CHESTER — Familiar faces and some newcomers are on the list for those wishing to be elected to town positions next month.

Incumbent selectmen Stephen Landau and Mike Weider will try to win another term on the board. Longtime tax collector/town clerk Barbara Gagnon also seeks another three-year term.

Chester voters head to the polls on May 13 to elect both town and school district officials. The annual town meeting is held the next day where town budget and warrant articles will be decided.

Open positions in town and those seeking election in next month's voting are the following:

Selectman, two three-year positions: Paul Krafton, Stephen Landau, Mike Weider, Robert Brown, and Joseph Castricone.

Town Clerk/Tax Collector, one three-year position: Barbara Gagnon.

Town Moderator, one two-year term: Michael Scott.

Treasurer, one for three years: Donald Parnell.

Library trustee, two for three years: Kandace Knowlton and Deborah Munson.

Budget Committee, three for three years: Thomas LaPorte.

Great Hill Cemetery trustee, one for five years: John Nucci.

Village Cemetery trustee, one for three years: Aaron Mansur.

Wilcomb Townsend Trust, one for five years: Cynthia Tunberg.

No one filed for the Great Hill Cemetery, three-year position, and a supervisor of the checklist six-year term remained open.

Voting takes place at the town office complex in the multipurpose room on May 13 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The town meeting is set for May 14 at 7 p.m., also in the town's multipurpose room.
