DERRY — As the warm summer weeks go by, Derry's Parks and Recreation continues to offer fun activities and programs for children.
Last week's popular Carnival Day at Hood Park is one of the summer's most well-attended events of the warm weather schedule. It offered participants a chance to come to the park for a fun afternoon of carnival games and other special activities.
Hood Park's calendar of events continues with "SpaceTown, U.S.A." week beginning Monday, Aug. 2, followed by "Specialty Craft Day" and other fun days, including a salute to "Star Wars," a science show and Martian Madness.
