Leach Library hosts a children's parade day

Leach Library has fun-filled weeks planned

LONDONDERRY — They loved a parade.

Children and their families attending Leach Library’s Parade Day event on July 3 got a firsthand look at how much fun a parade can be.

Parade Day included stories, special activities and a chance to take part in a parade.

Children paraded around the room, then out of the library toward their cars to head home.

The program was part of Leach Library’s schedule of summer schedule of events and reading fun.

Upcoming events include a time capsule event in July 15 at 11 a.m., when children will see what’s inside a time capsule and hear stories about what’s inside; on July 17, it’s time for Reptiles on the Move at 11 a.m.; and on July 22, children can learn to Walk Like an Egyptian and hear stories about mummies, pharaohs and crocodiles.

Call the library for information at 432-1127.
