Water park makes a summer splash

Splashpad offers a cool retreat

DERRY — It’s wet, it’s wild and it’s free.

The popular Splashpad water area at Don Ball Park is officially open for the summer season, offering a fun way for families to cool off from the season’s heat.

Located adjacent to the main playground at the park, the Splashpad includes sprinklers, splashing and dumping water areas to keep kids cool while their parents enjoy areas to relax nearby.

The Splashpad is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. There are some rules and regulations that need to be followed when visitors arrive.

But other than that, it’s summertime and the heat is on for anyone looking for a fun and inexpensive way to spend the day.

Call Derry Parks and Recreation for information about the Splashpad or any other summertime events and programs at 432-6136.
