Open house to help dog recovery group

DERRY — People really love their pets.

Derry Animal Hospital hosted an open house Saturday to celebrate pets and support those who work hard to make sure lost dogs are reunited with their families.

The event featured canine demonstrations, face-painting, a dog wash, training demos and much more.

The event was for the benefit of Granite State Dog Recovery, an organization with a goal of making sure lost dogs are returned to their owners.

The all-volunteer group works with community organizations, rescue groups, animal control officials, humane societies, veterinarians and shelters to help bring lost animals home.
