---- — Free public lecture set at Etz Hayim

DERRY — Stephen Landau will speak about “Terrorism and the American Jewish Community” at Etz Hayim Synagogue on May 22, from 7 to 8 p.m.

A retired member of the FBI, Landau has helped develop the early response to terrorism against the Jewish community in the northeastern United States, a topic of great importance to Jews. Refreshments will be served. No registration is required.

This is part of a series, “Key Issues in Contemporary Judaism.” The event is open to the public.

Spiritual ‘chat’ planned in Derry

DERRY — An ECK Spiritual Chat is set for May 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Upper Village Hall, 52 East Derry Road. Attendees will receive a booklet, “Spiritual Experiences Guidebook,” and an accompanying CD.

DERRY — There will be a free meal on Sunday, May 25, at Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1-1/2 Hood Road, Derry. The meal starts at 5 p.m.
