Birchtree Benefit for Learning, 7 to 10 p.m. at the Redhook Brewery, 1 Redhook Way, Portsmouth. Features live music, live and silent auctions, raffles, appetizers, and drinks. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Birchtree Center’s educational and therapeutic programs for children and youth with autism and their families. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Free Dental Appointments for ages 3 to 18, are being offered in Cheshire County as part of the annual “Give Kids a Smile” program. Parents interested in getting their child a free dental exam should call 762-3770 or email They will then be paired with a local dentist where they can schedule an appointment. This local program is available for Cheshire County residents only and parents must accompany their children during their dental visit. Local dentists and hygienists are offering their services through a partnership of the Dental Public Health Task Force and the Monadnock Dental Society. “Give Kids a Smile” is a national event started more than 10 years ago by the American Dental Association to serve children from low-income families across the country.
