DERRY — South Range Elementary School students are stacked for success.
Students spend afternoons taking on cup-stacking challenges, taking part in time-sensitive exercises with colorful plastic cups of various sizes.
Some students stack while blindfolded; some stack while balancing on a board. Some even stack as they run from one spot to another in a team effort.
The cups offer a mind-boggling activity, often intense and definitely requiring a lot of hand-eye coordination.
Cup stacking is very popular throughout the country with children and adults. At South Range, cup-stacking helps with motor skills, thinking through tasks and teamwork.
