---- — LONDONDERRY — The town’s summer recreation program is in full swing.

Every day this summer, children are heading to Matthew Thornton Elementary School to enjoy mornings and afternoons filled with sports, crafts, games and special theme days.

Last week, participants enjoyed a mini-carnival day, fun with jump rope, Hawaiian day, and a special doll and stuffed animal parade.

Last Friday, children spent time indoors, playing dodgeball to keep away from sweltering temperatures.

The summer program runs through Aug. 8. Upcoming themes include kickball, water balloon games, soccer, tie-dye activities and a talent show to finish out the session.
