DERRY — They arrived in style.
Every spring, as Pinkerton Academy hosts its junior prom, guests arrive in anything from Dad's prized Porsche to a vintage Corvette and numerous other classic cars.
The theme this year was "Night in the Amazon." The prom drew hundreds of students to enjoy a night of dinner and dancing in the Hackler gym, transformed into a sparkling spectacular complete with stars, colorful floral arrangements and cobblestone walkways.
The prom is always a big production at Pinkerton. Volunteer crews and students spend days transforming the space for the big night.
