Synagogue presents ‘Jewish Women Today’

DERRY — Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1 1/2 Hood Road, presents “Jewish Women Today,” a free talk presented by Dr. Sarah Finne-Sandler.

The program is June 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. Finne-Sandler will present insight on the role of Jewish women today. No registration is required to attend. The program is part of the Etz Hayim series “Key Issues in Contemporary Judaism.

Vacation Bible school

DERRY — St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 63 East Broadway, hosts its annual summer Vacation Bible School. The program is July 21-25 at the church.

This year’s theme is “Weird Animals” and includes a full week of Bible-based learning, games, songs, crafts and treats. To learn more about Bible School, call St. Luke’s at 434-4767.

Free community dinners continue

DERRY — Free community dinners continue at area churches through June.

The upcoming schedule includes the following meals: lunch at Seventh-Day Adventist, June 15, at noon; dinner at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, June 21, 5 p.m.; dinner at Etz Hayim Synagogue, June 22, 5 p.m.; spaghetti supper at First Parish Church, June 27, 5 p.m.
