‘Best Breakfast’ event returns

First Parish Church in East Derry bring back its popular “Best Breakfast” events on Sunday mornings from 7 to 9 a.m. The menu includes eggs, omelets, bacon, pancakes, French toast, hash browns, toast, cereal and beverages. The cost is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for children age 12 and under and also $5.50 for seniors over the age of 62.

Synagogue celebrates ‘Thanksgivukkah’

This year, for the first time ever, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah fall on the same day.

Etz Hayim Synagogue invites the community to celebrate the occasion with food and games at a free, family-oriented “Thanksgivukkah” party on Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon. Guests may bring a meat-free dish with a “Thanksgivukkah” theme to share. Etz Hayim Synagogue is located at 1½ Hood Road in Derry. Interfaith worship set for Nov. 26

The Derry Interfaith Campus holds its annual interfaith Thanksgiving service on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. Etz Hayim synagogue will host the event and the Rev. Ray Bonin will deliver the sermon.
