Give blood and enjoy a sweet reward

LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Rotary is sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive Monday, July 26, at Londonderry High School, 295 Mammoth Road from 2 to 7 p.m.

All donors will receive a coupon for a free carton if ice cream, redeemable at participating Friendly's restaurants.

Learn about advances in lung cancer treatments

LONDONDERRY — Dana-Farber/New Hampshire Oncology Hematology in Londonderry is hosting a free public education forum on the latest treatments for lung cancer on Tuesday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Dr. David Jackman, a lung cancer specialist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Dr. Brian Knab, a radiation oncologist with Radiation Oncology Associates, will discuss new medical and radiation therapies, and participate in a question-and-answer session.

The talk will be held at Dana-Farber/NH Oncology, 40 Buttrick Road, Londonderry. Registration is required by calling 622-4978 or at nhoh.com.

Gentle yoga and meditation class offered

DERRY — Parkland Oncology is hosting a gentle yoga and meditation class beginning Aug. 4 for six consecutive Wednesdays from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. at 6 Tsienneto Road, Suite 101, Derry.

Mats will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. Yoga will be instructed by Connie Price, certified YogaFit instructor.
