DERRY — Emily Curtis, 15, of Merrimack was crowned Miss Greater Derry Outstanding Teen Sunday in the Miss Greater Derry's Outstanding Teen, Preteen, Sweetheart and Princess Pageant at Adams Memorial Opera House.
Alycia Leriche, 5, of Derry was crowned in the princess division.
The Miss Greater Derry Scholarship Program is an affiliate of the national nonprofit Miss New Hampshire/Miss America Scholarship Organizations. The Miss America Organization, through its state and local competitions, is the largest scholarship provider for women in the world, awarding over $45 million annually in scholarships.
The Sweetheart division is for ages 6 to 8, the Princess group is for 3- to 5-year-olds.
The Teen and Preteen contestants participate in four categories of competition: interview, talent, evening gown and on-stage question.
