LONDONDERRY — Dressed in cowboy boots, bandanas, checkered shirts and denim, more than 75 people attended the annual fundraiser for Londonderry Senior Citizens Inc.
As usual, the male contingent staffed the grills on the picture-perfect day and the women served up the vittles at the Londonderry Senior Center.
The chuckwagon was loaded with hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chili, potato salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob and all the fixings. Vanilla ice cream and an assortment of cookies topped off the meal.
Money raised from the barbecue will go toward the purchase of a flat-screen TV for the senior center, said Gladys Frederick, one of the event's organizers.
The event raised $410. In addition, Granite Ridge Energy's Karen Beliveau presented LSCI with a check for $750.
