Artists display, sell work at Art in Action

LONDONDERRY — The apple blossoms at Moose Hill Orchards were the setting for artists painting in plein air this past weekend during the Art in Action event.

More than 20 local working artists participated in the annual event hosted by Mack's Apples. The artists had work for sale and also shared techniques about their mediums in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel and pen and ink.

Artists participating from Derry were Peter Correia, Corrine Dodge, Susan Monty, Ingeborg Seaboyer and John Sweeney.

From Londonderry, artists Ray Bell, Susan Hanna, Deb Curtin, Barbara Scott, Steven Sullivan and Jason Williams were on hand to talk with visitors and sell their work.

Londonderry High School art teacher Mimi Johnson also arranged to have four living statues on site at Mack's Farm Stand.
