Schools celebrate the season with music

---- — The sounds of the season will be filling local schools in the next several weeks with band and choral concerts planned at Derry and Londonderry schools. Here is a listing of some of the concerts scheduled:


Grinnell Elementary School: Dec. 11, 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

West Running Brook Middle School: Dec. 12, 6:30 to 8 p.m., band; Dec. 19, 6:30 to 8 p.m., chorus

Gilbert H. Hood Middle School: Dec. 12, 6 p.m., band; Dec. 17, 6 p.m., chorus

Derry Village Elementary School: Dec. 13, 6:30 p.m., band and chorus

Pinkerton Academy: Dec. 15, 2 p.m., band and instrumental concert, Stockbridge Theatre

South Range Elementary School: Dec. 16, 7 to 8 p.m.

Barka Elementary: Dec. 18, 9:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.


North Elementary School: Dec. 9, 7 p.m., band, chorus and strings; Dec. 18, first-grade concert for parents, 2 p.m.

Matthew Thornton Elementary School: Dec. 12, 9:15 a.m. at elementary school; 7 p.m. concert at middle school

Londonderry Middle School: Dec. 14, chorus and bands perform all day. Schedules available online.

South Elementary School: Dec. 16, winter concerts at 1:30 at South, 7 p.m. at middle school

Moose Hill School: Kindergarten students enjoy a holiday sing-a-long on Dec. 20 at 9 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
