LONDONDERRY — Kailey Pilvelis bravely reached out to touch the snake’s smooth skin.
The 3-year-old London-derry girl was one of many curious and brave children getting up close to a group of reptiles during a live animal show held recently at Leach Library.
Experts from Beverly, Mass.-based Rainforest Reptile Shows came to the library for the interactive show, offering children a chance to hear about the different reptiles and see them close up.
The show included alligators, turtles, lizards and several types of snakes, including a boa constrictor.
Rainforest Reptile Shows has more than 200 reptiles in its collection and travels all over the region, offering fun and informative events to reptile fans of all ages.
