LONDONDERRY — Jake Renke strutted his stuff on the catwalk and played up a storm on his drums to take home the title of Mr. LHS last Thursday evening.
The annual competition is put on by the staff of Londonderry High School's student newspaper, the Lancer Spirit.
The first runner-up award was given to Connor Richard and Nick Tocco, who did a combined act for the judges. Second runner-up was Drew Diorio; the Mr. Congeniality Award went to Nick Johnson.
After the opening introduction by students Meghan Rimol and Haley Skov, the group of contestants danced to a medley of 1980s music. A few teachers also put on some acts of their own, but they didn't qualify for the Mr. LHS title.
Other contestants were Dan Kinnon, Ryan McClure, Hercules Liu, Nick Hilton, Ayman Usmani, Andy Kiniry, Kyle Graham and Schuyler Martin.
