DERRY — Giant puppets invaded Derry Public Library last week, giving children enjoying the summer reading program a chance to hear stories and watch the handcrafted friends, some with strings, move, talk and share folktales.
Seacoast-based professional puppeteer Lindsay Bezich has traveled all around sharing her life-sized puppet friends — Ollie Ostrich, Pinky Pig and Luis Legstrong — with children at libraries, museums and other family-friendly venues.
The program was sponsored by the Friends of the Derry Public Libraries.
