DERRY — The upcoming New England RC Airplane Fly-In show will partner with Sonshine Soup Kitchen.
The fifth annual air show is scheduled for June 29 and 30 at the NH Flying Tigers air field on B Street in Derry. Visitors are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for admission to support the soup kitchen.
The public is invited to attend the two-day event to see a variety of gliders, helicopter, aerobatic planes and scale models.
Visitors can also try their hand at flying planes.
This year, Saturday’s events included fixed-wing aircraft. Sunday’s schedule features primarily helicopters. In addition to flying demonstrations, there will be displays and food.
Raffles for complete “ready to fly” RC airplane and helicopters will be held.
The Fly-In runs each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s open to the public and RC airplane and helicopter enthusiasts and pilots.
Admission is free and food donation is not mandatory. For directions or information, visit nhflyingtigers.com or call 437-2847.
