Peacock Players, New Hampshire’s award-winning youth theater group, will present upcoming shows featuring young actors representing towns all over the region.
Peacock presents “Alice in Wonderland” Oct. 18-27 at the Janice B. Streeter Theater, 14 Court St. in Nashua.
This show is a new original adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic created and written by Broadway veteran and Peacock Players artistic director Keith Weirich along with Peacock Players alumni Michael Shawn O’Keefe.
The “Alice” cast features Alyssa Beaulieu of Londonderry, along with more than 40 other young actors from around the region.
“Peacock Players has been a consistent community leader of theater arts education and award-winning Mainstage productions,” Weirich said. “We wanted to premiere an original adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic fantasy. This project seemed like a perfect marriage for an original work.”
This is Peacock Players 38th Mainstage season.
Performances of “Alice in Wonderland” are set for Oct. 18 at 7 p.m., Oct. 19 at 2 and 7 p.m.; Oct. 20 at 2 p.m.; Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.; Oct. 26 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Oct. 27 at 2 p.m.
Another upcoming show this fall is “Shrek the Musical” slated for performances Nov. 15-24.
The “Shrek” cast also features several local youth actors, including Julia Enos, Brandon Feliciano and Marc Lussier, all of Londonderry.
“We are so excited to introduce ‘Shrek the Musical’ to our students and audiences because it is such an entertaining musical,” Weirich said.
“Shrek” shows are set for Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.; Nov. 16, 2 and 7 p.m.; Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.; Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.; Nov. 23 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Nov. 24 at 2 p.m.
