DERRY — For a decade, Gilbert H. Hood Middle School teachers and staff have been rocking the school stage.
At this year’s Faculty Follies, there was no lack of talent. Teachers and other staff members sand, danced and played musical instruments.
Every year, Hood faculty members put individual and group talent in the spotlight, performing songs, dances and comedy routines for students and their families.
Some teachers joined forces, while others went solo. Some did comic takes on classic spoofs like Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s On First?” with a Red Sox twist.
Some acts taking the stage were not quite as polished and were not meant to be. Others showcased genuine talent in dancing and vocals.
The school’s ukulele club also took the stage and performed for the crowd.
Money raised at Hood’s Faculty Follies goes to support student programs at the school.
