Area dancers join 'Snow White' cast

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Local dancers have roles in the New England Civic Ballet’s performance of “Snow White,” the newest of all the fairy tale ballets.

It was specifically created for a ballerina in 2007 and now NECB will perform it for three shows. A whole new ballet with new costumes, scenery, and choreography has the cast and directors excited about this production. Performances will be at Merrimack College’s Rogers Center for the Performing Arts in North Andover on March 22 at 1 and 6 p.m., and March 23 at 1 p.m.

NECB is a local nonprofit dance company. Tickets are on sale at a reduced price to encourage whole families to come and enjoy the performances.

Tickets may be purchased online at or by calling the studio at (978) 975-0289.

Young attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character. After each 1 p.m. show, the characters will be out in costume for autographs and pictures.

Open auditions were held in January and the cast includes dancers from multiple dance studios.

New Hampshire cast members include Annabelle Zvapelsky of Derry, Kassia Swanson of Londonderry, Luke Perkins of Atkinson, Monique and Samantha Welch of Hampstead, Alyssa Levine of Pelham, and Katherine and Lily Chartrain of Salem.

For more information regarding the ballet and performances, contact Phyllis George at the New England Civic Ballet school studios 978-975-0289.
