DERRY — A Valentine Dessert Extravaganza Feb. 16 will benefit Family Promise of Greater Rockingham County.
The event runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brookstone Event Center at 14 Route 111. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.
Win a door prize or a prize for the prettiest hat, the most Victorian outfit or farthest traveled. Sign up to set a tea able and compete for the prettiest at $1 per vote.

Feed body and soul at Elijah’s Table
DERRY — There will be a free meal on Sunday, Feb.16, at Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1-1/2 Hood Road.
The meal is sponsored by Elijah’s Table, a joint project of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and Etz Hayim Synagogue. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and goes to 6:30 p.m.

Etz Hayim Synagogue hosts Purim event
DERRY — Etz Hayim Synagogue will celebrate the holiday of Purim on Saturday, March 15, at 8 p.m.
Purim commemorates a time when the Jews living in ancient Persia were saved from extermination, as recounted in the Biblical Book of Esther. At this carnival-like celebration, adults will dress in costumes, eat, drink, and make merry.

‘Living the Eucharist’ offered during Lent
