Wire Belt gets job training grant
A Londonderry company is among eight businesses statewide to receive job training grants from the state.
Wire Belt Company of America Inc. of Londonderry received a grant award of $3,500 and will match the grant to train two employees in Six Sigma Green Belt, using NHMEP as the trainer.
The eight job training grants total more than $148,000. The eight companies contributed matching funds, bringing the total funds for training workers to more than $297,000.
“I am proud to announce May’s round of critical grants that will help workers develop skills for good jobs at New Hampshire’s growing businesses,” Gov. Maggie Hassan said. “New Hampshire’s Job Training Fund is an important resource that has helped provide essential skills to thousands of workers. We need to continue developing a highly skilled workforce through job training and higher education in order to attract innovative businesses, help existing ones grow, and create jobs that can support a strong middle class.”
Another local business, Community Crossroads Inc. of Atkinson ,will use its $3,675 grant and the company match to provide training for up to 20 employees in Word and Excel training at Nashua Community College.
The Job Training Fund has awarded $5.9 million in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $8.5 million, for a total of $14.4 million in new training for 17,643 New Hampshire workers.

Coldwell Banker welcomes sales associate
LONDONDERRY — Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England recently welcomes Tina Buckley to the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Londonderry.
As a sales associate, Buckley will provide residential real estate services in Londonderry and surrounding towns.

Triangle Credit Union comes to Derry
DERRY — Triangle Credit Union recently announced the purchase of real estate property located at 3 Windham Road.
Triangle will expand its branching opportunities there and looks forward to serving new and existing credit union members in the Greater Derry Community. The property is currently being renovated and is slated to open and offer complete banking services in the fall.
“Triangle has an existing relationship with Parkland Medical Center and we have many members who are currently employed at the hospital. With our membership base growing in the area and the potential of the Derry region to expand, this was an easy decision for us to make,” said Maurice Simard, president and CEO of Triangle.
With the addition of this new Derry branch office, Triangle Credit Union will now have eight branch locations including three in Nashua, one branch in Amherst, and two branch offices in Manchester with an off-site branch at the Elliot Hospital.
