Plan ahead for annual Health & Wellness Expo
DERRY — The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce through its Wellness Committee announced the second Annual Health & Wellness Expo. There will be a blood drive, sponsored by the American Red Cross Blood Services, happening in coordination with the event. All donors are encouraged to sign up for a time slot, but walk-ins are also welcomed.
The expo has been designed so that there will be attractions for the general public, but also an appeal for local business owners. Understanding how to prevent lost productivity in the workplace due to health issues, providing additional benefits for employees and forging strategic business relationships are all reasons that small business owners should turnout.
In addition to the blood drive, the event will provide the local community an opportunity to visit with wellness providers of all types, participate in free screenings, small group demonstrations and take part in the days’ entertainment and raffle drawings. Events and offerings throughout the day include, free fingerprinting, blood pressure screens, balance and motor assessments, skin cancer screenings and much more.
The event will take place at Promises to Keep on May 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. The blood drive opens at 1 p.m. and will accept donors throughout the entire event. Sponsorship opportunities are available and donations of services and giveaways are also encouraged. The event is open to the public. For additional information or to reserve your seat, contact the Chamber Office at 432-8205 or email email@example.com.
