DERRY — The Aviation Museum of NH has a new executive director.
The Board of Directors announced the hiring of Jessica D. Pappathan, who comes to the museum after serving as the communications director for McGowan Fine Art in Concord.
Pappathan has also served in various positions with Historic New England in Portsmouth, Saint Anselm College Alva de Mars Megan Chapel Art Center, and the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester.
She holds a master’s degree in art administration from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.
“We are thrilled that Jessica Pappathan is joining our team,” museum president Bob Hough said. “She brings to the table the right combination of education, experience and enthusiasm for fulfilling our plans for the future development of the museum.”
Pappathan will assume her new position early this month. The Aviation Museum of NH is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of New Hampshire’s aviation history and the provision of aeronautical knowledge through education programs.
The museum is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and is located at 27 Navigator Road.
