Chamber hosts breakfast roundtable

DERRY — The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is taking a much more regional view of their local economy, and invites business owners, civic leaders and the community to do the same. Working to make Southern New Hampshire vibrant and economically successful, the Chamber will bring together “thinkers” from across their membership area to develop strategies and partnerships that will be good for the entire area.

Regionalizing a recent statewide economic development plan put together by the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire, the Chamber will hold a breakfast meeting to begin the process of strategic thinking around this important topic.

The Chamber has assembled a Roundtable Discussion to begin to address the needs and concerns specific to our own communities, and develop a regional approach to facilitating successful business growth and positive impact to our local economy. Acknowledging the BIA’s State Economic Plan, the GDLC will act as a connector to bring people and resources together to drill-down into each of the nine goals presented in the BIA plan.

The event will include a brief presentation by Jim Roche, president of BIA, providing a clear overview of the Economic Development Plan released by his organization. Confirmed participants of this event include community leaders and business professionals from all towns in our catchment area participating “at the table.”

Any individual from the area is invited to come listen to the discussion from the audience. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions as time allows.

The event will be April 11 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Derry Municipal Center, 14 Manning St. Call the office at 432-8205.
