PORTSMOUTH – Binnie Media, which owns WBIN in Derry, has announced the acquisition of 16 radio stations, creating one of the largest privately held radio and television media companies in New England.
“We are Number 1 in radio in Concord, the Lakes Region and Nashua, and also Number 1 in Portland, Maine,” said Bill Binnie, president of Binnie Media. “Our station lineup includes well-known brands like ‘Frank FM’ and ‘The Wolf’ along with heritage stations WJYY and WLNH.”
The company acquired six stations in New Hampshire, two in Vermont and eight in Maine.
“Our television and radio stations give us a strong media presence throughout New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts and provide a great platform to deliver local programs, entertainment and news to listeners and viewers,” Binnie said. “We will reach millions of viewers and listeners across New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.”
With more than 1 million monthly viewers and listeners, Binnie Media is one of the largest independent media companies in the country, with a total service area of nearly 7.5 million viewers and listeners in more than 650 towns throughout New England.

BOSTON — CB Richard Ellis, N.E. Partners LP, a joint venture company with CBRE Group Inc., announced that Chris Healey has joined its Manchester office as an associate with the brokerage team. Healey will be responsible for all aspects of the sale and leasing of commercial properties in the Southern New Hampshire region.

Healey has worked in a variety of roles to prepare him for this next step at CB Richard Ellis – N.E. Partners, LP, including his prior position as market research and brokerage associate at The Kane Company in Portsmouth. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He graduated from St. Michael’s College in Vermont.
