Londonderry man heads Crossroads

ATKINSON — Ken Ferreira of Londonderry was elected president of the Board of Directors of Community Crossroads.

Ferreira is the executive director of student financial services at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge. There, he has oversight of all financial aid, student account and account collection initiatives. He has worked at the professional level in the financial aid industry since 1998 and at Franklin Pierce since 2005.

He has served on the Board of Directors of Community Crossroads (formerly Region 10 Community Support Services) since 2005. He previously served as vice president of the board from January 2006 to October 2011.

Community Crossroads (formerly Region 10) provides support and services to people with developmental disabilities or acquired brain disorders. Visit communitycrossroadsnh.org.

New residential loan officer named

MANCHESTER — St. Mary’s Bank announced the appointment of John Kneeland to residential loan officer. He is based at the St. Mary’s Bank Mortgage Center in Nashua.

Kneeland was co-founder and senior partner of Newpointe Mortgage LLC in Londonderry. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the mortgage banking field covering Southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. He most recently served as mortgage development officer at Sovereign-Santander Bank in Nashua.

He is a resident of Salem.

Triangle supports Make-A-Wish sales

NASHUA — Representatives from Triangle Credit Union celebrated the Make-A-Wish Foundation with Gov. Maggie Hassan when several Make-A-Wish recipients presented her with a calendar.

“Triangle Credit Union has been a strong supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation for over 20 years,” president and CEO Maurice Simard Jr. said. “We really appreciate what they do for our kids and community. Triangle is particularly active with calendar sales and it is a tradition that our membership has enjoyed for years. Triangle generated $13,500 in calendar sales for 2012-2013. We look forward to another successful year.”

Chamber wreath auction benefits Santa Fund

DERRY — The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the second annual Holiday Wreath Stroll Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Cask and Vine, 1 E. Broadway.

Dozens of wreaths, donated by local businesses, will be up for auction. proceeds will benefit the Derry News Santa Fund.

Appetizers will be provided and there will be a cash bar.

Admission is $5 for members, $10 for non-members.
