---- — DERRY — Kayla Gutierrez, Triangle Credit Union’s Derry branch manager, was called upon to help organize donations for the Marion Gerrish Community Center Thrift Shop.
She put in a call to action with her coworkers, and they responded with two carloads and a pickup bed full of items.
“We were very happy to support the Community Center Thrift Shop with employee donations,” said Maurice Simard, Triangle Credit Union President/CEO. “Triangle Credit Union supports many community endeavors and we are more than willing to lend a hand when needed.”
The main source of funding for the operations of the Marion Gerrish Community Center comes from the revenue generated in the Thrift Shop. Donations help offset the costs of running the Community Center. Currently, there are more than 160 different groups using the Center throughout the year, including the Boy & Girl Scouts, Derry Community Fund, AARP Tax Aide, Southern NH Services and WIC, and local seniors.
The Thrift Shop continually needs items such as gently used clothing, books, shoes, children’s toys, games and books, DVDs, CDs, small furniture, small appliances, jewelry, linens, household décor and decorative items.
