T-BONES raises money for The Upper Room

DERRY — T-BONES Great American Eatery in Derry recently held its first ever fundraiser to benefit The Upper Room.

Guests were encouraged to visit T-BONES at 39 Crystal Ave. June 17-28. Every $5 donated to The Upper Room at Derry T-BONES earned guests a spin on the Dining Certificate Prize Wheel for a chance to win $5 to $50 in T-BONES dining certificates.

Derry T-BONES staff used 100 percent of donations raised, a total of $15,950, to purchase school related supplies, laptops, and hygiene products to support the programs and families at The Upper Room.

The Upper Room, A Family Resource Center, has been providing educational services to strengthen individuals and families throughout Southern New Hampshire since 1986. They have grown and developed to meet the changing needs of individuals and families in the community.

The Upper Room will use the donated items to fill a backpack for every child in the program, provide back-to-school clothing, promote reading at all ages, and start a homework resource center with upgraded technology.

“This was Derry T-BONES’ first annual fundraiser for The Upper Room,” said Tanya Untiet, T-BONES community outreach coordinator. “ We couldn’t be more grateful for our patrons who came out to support The Upper Room and make our first year a tremendous success.”
