Derry News designer receives top honor

Fran Landry won Designer of the Year honors in the nondaily category for her work with the Derry News in the Best of CNHI journalism competition for 2012.

CNHI (Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.), an Alabama-based media company, is a leading publisher of community newspapers, websites and niche publications in the United States. CNHI serves more than 130 communities in 23 states.

The annual Best of CNHI recognizes the individual and collective works of the company’s journalists.

The Eagle-Tribune won “Newspaper of the Year” in the contest’s largest circulation category and also won the Public Service Award.

Sullivan Tire offers Red Sox magnets

Shake off the winter blues, it’s almost baseball season. Get in the swing by stopping by your local Sullivan Tire to pick up a 2013 Red Sox schedule magnet. The magnets are now available for free at all Sullivan Tire & Auto Service locations throughout New England. There is a limited supply, so it’s first come, first served.

This year’s magnet features an image taken at Jetblue Park in Fort Myers of children that were part of Sullivan Tire’s TV commercial, “Coach Pedroia.” The commercial can be seen online at youtube.com/sullytire. This marks the sixth year that Pedroia has been featured in Sullivan Tire’s commercials.

Local consultant earns top award

LONDONDERRY — Tastefully Simple consultant Cara Hayden of Londonderry recently earned the company’s national Top Monthly Sponsor award.

Hayden added six consultants to her Tastefully Simple team during February to receive this award, sponsoring the highest number of new consultants from among all consultants across the country.
